No senior should face a move alone

We’re a nonprofit senior moving service. We pack, move, and settle Treasure Valley seniors into their next home with care, on a sliding scale, so cost is never the only reason someone goes without help.

Why it matters

A lifetime doesn’t fit in a weekend

Fifty years of photos, dishes, tools, and quilts. A smaller room. A deadline set by a hospital discharge or an opening in assisted living. Too often it all falls on one tired daughter, or on a senior with no one nearby.

Very little notice

An opening in assisted living or a discharge from the hospital can mean days to move, not months.

Heavy lifting, heavier hearts

Sorting a lifetime is emotional work. Seniors deserve patience and kindness, not a rushed crew.

Cost shouldn’t decide

A careful senior move can cost more than a fixed income allows. Our donors and partners help close that gap.

How it works

Three steps up the path

Like the gold trail in our logo, every move has a way to the top. We walk it with you, one step at a time.

  1. Call or send a request

Tell us who is moving, where, and when. A family member can reach out for a parent. We aim to call back within one business day.

  2. Free, no pressure visit

We walk through the home together, talk about what matters most, and give you a written plan and a fair quote, with help on cost for those who qualify.

  3. Moving day, done with care

We pack, move, unpack, and set up the new home, and the bed is made before the first night.

The First Night Promise

Before they walk in, the bed is made

Every Pathways move ends the same way: the bed made with their own quilt, family photos on the wall, the favorite chair by the window, and a lamp on. A new place should feel like home on the very first night.

  • Bed made and nightstand set
  • Photos and art hung
  • Kitchen and bathroom basics unpacked
  • Medications, glasses, and chargers within reach

Where Pathways began

It started at a kitchen table

Anna “Grandma” Phillips never had much money, but she gave everything she had. People came to her kitchen table for a home cooked meal and left with something more: encouragement, good advice, and the sure knowledge that they were loved.

Her grandson Benjamin started Summit Pathways in her honor. Every box we pack, we pack like it’s Grandma’s.

The greatest gift you can give is to lift others up when they need it most.

One move, one life

What a Pathways move looks like

Sample story

Meet Ruth

When a room opened at an assisted living community, Ruth had two weeks to move. Her only daughter lived in Oregon. A Pathways team sat with Ruth to choose what mattered most, packed her kitchen and sewing room, and carried her late husband’s tools to her grandson in Meridian.

Before Ruth arrived, her quilt was on the bed and her photos were on the wall. Her daughter watched the setup on a video call from Portland.

“It felt like my room the minute I walked in.”

Sample story: a made up composite showing the kind of move we help with. Ruth is not a real client. Real stories, shared with permission, will replace it.

Rooted here

Local businesses, volunteer leaders, neighbors helping neighbors

Summit Pathways is led by a four person volunteer board of Treasure Valley business owners. Two local companies stand behind the work: Summit Solutions moves seniors for Pathways at a reduced, below market rate, and Alpine Premier Services supports the foundation.

Here’s the part we love: when a family can pay the full quote, their move helps fund a move for a neighbor who can’t.

Good questions

What families ask first

Who can get help from Summit Pathways?

Seniors age 55 and older (or younger adults facing a disability or health change) who live in, or are moving within, the Treasure Valley. That includes Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Star, Kuna, and the towns around them. Family members can reach out for a parent.

What does a move cost?

Every move gets a free visit and a custom quote, booked in 4 to 8 hour service blocks. We use a sliding scale: seniors who qualify can get full assistance at no cost, or a shared cost based on income. Families who can pay the full quote help fund moves for neighbors who can’t.

How fast can you help?

We aim to call you back within one business day. When a move is urgent, like a hospital discharge or a sudden opening in assisted living, tell us and we’ll do our best to move quickly.

What is the free trash out?

After the move, our team clears out whatever is left over in the home, at no cost to you. It is done within two hours. Hazardous materials are not included.

Can I ask for help for my mom or dad?

Yes. Many requests come from adult children, sometimes from out of state. We’ll keep you in the loop with calls, photos, and a video call on moving day if you like.
