Ways to give

Every way to give is a way to lift

Money, a monthly gift, a truck, a box of tape, a match for a campaign, or a gift in someone’s memory. Here’s how each one helps.

Tribute gifts

Honor someone who carried you

Give in honor of a birthday or a retirement, or in memory of a parent or grandparent. We’ll send a card to the person or family you name (we never mention the amount).

The greatest gift you can give is to lift others up when they need it most.

In kind gifts

Our moving day wish list

Things that go straight to work on real moves. In kind gifts may be tax deductible; we’ll send a receipt describing what you gave.

Cardboard boxes loaded in the back of an open van, with a quiet neighborhood street and evening sun beyond.
A van, a stack of boxes, or a roll of tape can help carry someone home.

We’d love

  • A box truck or cargo van that runs well, with a clear title
  • Furniture dollies, hand trucks, and straps
  • Moving pads and blankets
  • New boxes, tape, and packing paper
  • Bubble wrap and mattress bags
  • Tool kits and picture hanging kits
  • Fuel gift cards
  • Storage unit time for short term holds
  • Printing, accounting, or legal help (pro bono)
  • Gently used furniture and household goods (we may pass them to a senior in need or sell them, for example on Facebook Marketplace, with every dollar going to moves)

We can’t accept

  • Used mattresses
  • Hazardous materials, paint, or chemicals

Have something else? Ask. If we can’t use it, we’ll try to point you to someone who can.

Business sponsors

Put your business on the path

Summit Solutions already moves seniors for us at a reduced, below market rate, and Alpine Premier Services stands behind our work. Join them, and let your customers see you show up for Treasure Valley seniors.

Double every gift: become a match sponsor

A business or family pledges to match gifts, up to an amount you choose, during a campaign like year end or Idaho Gives. Research shows a simple 1:1 match inspires donors just as much as bigger ratios, so even a modest match goes a long way.1

We only announce matches that are real, and we name the sponsor (with permission).
